Day 1
- Start your day at the Farmers' Market in the Town Square (Saturdays all summer). The Farmers' Market has a variety of vendors selling fresh produce, handmade crafts and various home-baked goods including rhubarb bread and apple kuchen.
- Check out the downtown boutiques and shops. Be sure to look at the statues in the pocket parks located throughout the downtown area.
- Stop at Badman Design to see the many hand-crafted items including jewelry, wine racks, picture frames, tables, mirrors and much more
- A must stop is Widman's Candy Shop--a chocolate lover's dream! Try the world-famous "Chippers" (chocolate-covered potato chips) along with their to-die-for toffee.
- Enjoy lunch at one of the many downtown local restaurants in Grand Forks or along the boardwalk of restaurants in East Grand Forks.
- After lunch, shop at Cabela's in Downtown East Grand Forks, the world's foremost outfitter.
- Check out the Riverwalk Centre, which is home to a variety of locally owned shops. Go to the Grand Cities Mall where you can test your skill on the rock climbing wall and do some power shopping all in the same location.
- Enjoy an evening dinner out in the many area restaurants. Attend a concert at the Alerus Center (subject to availability) or a performance at the Empire Arts Center.
Day 2
- Enjoy breakfast at any one of the many restaurants or relax and enjoy a continental breakfast in your hotel.
- Off to the Columbia Mall to peruse through the 70 stores including Macy's, Sears, JC Penney and many more.
- Enjoy a nice lunch in the mall's Dakota Cafe Food Court.
- Next stop is The Marketplace located across from the Columbia Mall. There are several well-known stores such as Super Target, Old Navy, Best Buy, Bed Bath & Beyond, Michael's Crafts, Gordman's, Kohl's, Lane Bryant, Famous Brand Foot Wear and more.
- Have a dinner followed by a quiet evening at one of the many hotels sitting by the pool or relaxing in the hot tub.
