Something for everyone…kids, adults and fans of the 70s


Today’s blog is brought to you from local writer and buisness person, Michaela Schell.   Usually Mondays can be pretty boring and likely the least favorite of the week, but on Monday, October 21, Grand Forks has something to do for everyone.   For the kids…   Disney Junior Live on Tour! Pirate and Princess Adventure. It all starts with Mickey and Minnie Mouse. They will lead your kids on an adventure through their favorite Disney shows with their favorite Disney characters: Doc McStuffins, Jake the Pirate, Princess Sofia and even Peter Pan and Tinkerbell.   When I think about how much kis love these characters on TV, I can only imagine the excitement that will fill the Ralaph when these fun friends come to life. Burning down the house


Have you taken in a show our two at the Greater Grand Forks Community Theatre (aka Fire Hall Theatre)?  If not, you don’t know what your missing.  This community organization has been a mainstay in Greater Grand Forks for 64 years, and produces a variety of shows that showcase the fabulous talent in our region. The 2011-2012 season has launched with some fabulous theater including: “Bell, Book & Candle” – October 13-29 (this week is the final showing) Gillian Holroyd is one of the few modern people who can actually cast spells and perform supernatural feats.  She casts a spell over an unattached publisher, Shepherd Henderson, partly because she is attracted to him.  He falls head over heals in love with her at once and wants to marry her.  But witches, unfortunately, cannot fall in love, and this minute imperfection leads to a number of difficulties.  Will Gillian choose love over tradition?  And will Shepherd choose a mortal woman over Gillian?  It’s a “Bewitching” predicament. “A Christmas Carol” – December 6-17 Focusing on Dickens’ powerful language, humor and warmth, this charming drama tells the story of the redemption of a human soul.  The play follows the ever-powerful story of Scrooge, …
