Mystery. Whimsy. And tales yet to be told. Join us for three enchanting and exciting days of creative writing, storytelling, and the arts at the 57th Annual UND Writers Conference, "Fables & Futures," from March 25–27, 2026!
With three days of panels, workshops, open mics, author readings, and more, this year's "Fables & Futures" conference has something for everyone—readers, writers, lovers of the arts, and anyone who wants to know more about why we turn to fables time and time again. This year's Writers Conference will feature appearances by acclaimed writers and artists—Booker Prize and Story Prize winner George Saunders, Beowulf translator Maria Dahvana Headley, Megan Kamalei Kakimoto, Ananda Lima, Amber Sparks, Anna Maria Hong, and Roque Raquel Salas Rivera. Our wonderful lineup of authors will also be joined by sculptor Beatriz Cortez and literary agent Penelope Burns!
All Writers Conference events are free and open to the public, and parking is provided in the parking ramp at the intersection of University Avenue and Columbia Road on the UND Campus. In-person and online attendance are both available—register to attend now (for free!) through the ticket URL on this page!
