"Hello Writers! My name is Rhiannon Conley. I’m from Grand Forks and work as a composition and creative writing instructor at UND. “This is my second NDMOA camp and I’m so excited for this summer! Last summer we had a great time not just writing but painting, drawing, wandering around campus, reading, talking and making things! We learned about journalism, fiction, poetry and creative nonfiction and crafted in various multigenre multimedia formats. Campers wrote poems and visual poems, wrote short stories and comics, constructed books and storytelling games. We ended the week with an open mic where the kids were invited to read and talk about their writing. This summer we are going to do it all again: write, draw, fold paper, make zines, interview friends, do research, tell stories, tell jokes, cut paper, glue stuff, play with shaving cream, and get weird.”
