Empire Arts Center & Empire Theatre Company

Built in 1919, this beautifully restored theatre and home to the Empire Theatre Company hosts musicals, plays, national touring performers, movies and a variety of other events. It is also houses rotating exhibits of the University of North Dakota's permanent art collection, which includes works by Andy Warhol, Salvador Dali and Roy Lichtenstein.

The Empire Theatre Company, under the artistic direction of Chris Berg, strives to bring unique, thought-provoking, contemporary, live theatre to the Grand Forks Community. Just some of the productions include "Hairspray", "Beauty & the Beast", "A Christmas Story" and many, many more.
