Park it for SimplyGrand festivities

Mark your calendars now for June 12 & 13…that’s when University Park will be PACked with great shopping, entertainment, food and lots of fun times!

Originally known as Grand Cities Art Fest and taking place Downtown on both sides of the Red River, the rebranded and relocated Public Arts Commission (PAC) Art on the Red 2021 is sure to be the best one yet. From 10 AM to 6 PM on Saturday and 10 AM to 4:30 PM on Sunday, over 75 quality artists and crafters from around the nation will be set up and ready to sell their cool creations.  Examples of the different media include pottery, metal sculpture, glass, photography, paintings, textiles and jewelry.  Dozens of food vendors will also be on hand to tantalize your taste buds with everything from caramel frappes, funnel cakes and kettle korn to cheese curds, corn dogs and fry bread tacos.  And don’t forget to check out the Show & Shine Car Show, Arts in Action, Fine Arts Avenue, Kids’ Corner and a Main Stage featuring great live entertainment.

Arts in Action

Curious about how raw materials get transformed into amazing works of art?  During Arts in Action, sculptors will perform live demonstrations of their art-making process.

Fine Arts Avenue

What happens when you take simple, inexpensive supplies and add a dose of inspiration and talent?  You get Fine Arts Avenue, where several of the region’s finest artists will be offering items worthy of any art gallery at prices for every budget.

Kids’ Corner

Children of all ages are invited to enjoy hands-on activities designed to inspire creativity such as the science of color, make your own art, temporary tattoos and more.  There will also be inflatable games and a splash pad to help the little ones burn off some of their excitement.

Main Stage

In addition to live theatre and dance performances, University Park will be filled with music from an array of performers and genres.

Car Show

Stop by on Saturday, between 10 AM and 4 PM, to check out a variety of beautifully restored classic cars.

Between all the festivities, take a quick trip to our Downtown District.  While there, you’ll discover unique boutiques, eclectic art galleries, quaint coffee houses, five-star restaurants and hometown breweries.  A short drive to the Southside leads you to several big box stores including ROSS Dress for Less, TJ Maxx, Kohls and Super Target, plus popular restaurants like Vinyl Taco, JL Beers, Buffalo Wild Wings and Ground Round.  Everyone is sure to experience one SimplyGrand weekend in our two Forks!
