Some of my favorite weekend date nights in Forks have been spent simply dining around our grand downtown. Whether it’s with your plus-one or all your pals, there’s lots of awesome hot spots at which to stop.

The Toasted Frog is one popular restaurant/lounge that’s always hopping. Famous blogger and Food Network Star, Molly Yeh, even dubbed The Frog’s fried cheesy pickles “The Best Thing I Ever Ate” on the Cooking Channel show by the same name. A plateful of these dillicious Havarti and wonton wrapped spears, plus one of their many marvelous martinis, is a tasty way to get pickled.

Next stop is just a short stroll down North 3rd Street. In addition to 48 beers on tap and full bar service, Brick & Barley dishes up some of the best eats in town. My shareables of choice are the lip-smacking good mac ‘n cheese bites, buffalo wings and thin cut seasoned fries with raspberry habanero dipping sauce. These finger foods are perfect for snacking while playing a game or two of pinball or pool. Even though you’ll never gamble on having a great time here, B&B does offer up live blackjack and gaming machines.

Make Half Brothers your final stop for the night. Located next door to Brick & Barley, this local brewing company is a perfect place to enjoy superb suds and piping hot pizza. A mere $10 gets you a ginormous slice of the pie (pepperoni or cheese) and a pint of Paul Bunyan Pilsner. Wear off a few of those so-worth-it carbs by playing some cornhole or just relax and groove out to cool live tunes supplied by top local artists like The Dank, Leslie Jane, December’s Children and Ali Rood.
