Enjoy a beautiful summer evening at Grand Forks’ longest-running outdoor music series. For the last 17 years, the Museum’s Concerts in the Garden has attracted devoted fans from around the region for evenings of great music and food. Guests arrive with lawn chairs and blankets to catch nationally touring bands as they zig-zag the country playing clubs and festivals. This summer’s line-up is as powerful as ever. From Blues powerhouse Joslyn and the Sweet Compression to stripped down solo troubadours like Brett Newski and Christopher Paul Stelling, the series is certain to please. In addition to great music, guests can enjoy food hot off the grill, root beer floats, and a cash bar.

Laamar is the latest project led by Minneapolis based singer, songwriter, saxophonist and composer Geoffrey Lamar Wilson. Former frontman of Brooklyn based Jus Post Bellum, also known for his multilayered looped saxophone performances and catchy podcast ditties. This latest project blends his idiomatic inspirations bridging Folk, Soul, R&B and Country, into a collection of songs with a constant ear towards issues of racial and social justice, and the shared human experience.
