The Grand Forks 10 has quickly become one of the region’s signature late‑summer running events — a weekend built around community, movement, and showing off the best parts of Grand Forks and East Grand Forks. At its core, the event is a celebration of local runners and the local running scene: a Friday‑night 5K with a fun, social vibe, followed by Saturday morning’s longer distances (10K and 10M) that draw everyone from first‑timers to seasoned racers. This year’s route starts right in Downtown Grand Forks, giving runners that lively, urban send‑off before heading west along University Avenye and cutting straight through the heart of the UND campus. After looping back toward Downtown, the course crosses the historic Sorlie Bridge, opening up river views as runners transition into East Grand Forks. From there, the path turns north along the East Grand Forks bike trail, a smooth, scenic stretch along the Greenway, before guiding everyone back toward the finish Downtown.
