Inspire Inclusion: An Art Show Celebrating International Women's Day

ERA NOW (Equal Rights Association), Arts for Vets and the Women's Fund (a component fund of the Community Foundation of Grand Forks, East Grand Forks and Region) invite you to join us for "Inspire Inclusion: An Art Show Celebrating International Women's Day" (IWD). The Opening Reception will be a joyful celebration of women with appetizers, beverages, dynamic discussion, and live music provided by Tamara Bertram.

The 2024 IWD theme is "Inspire Inclusion," and participating artists will have considered the following information provided by IWD when they submitted works for this show:

~When we inspire others to understand and value women's inclusion in all sectors of society, family, business and culture, we forge a better world. And when women themselves are inspired to be included, there's a sense of belonging, relevance, empowerment, and conscious acknowledgment of all the contributions women provide to make the world a better place.
~When women aren't present, we must ask: "If not, why not?"
~When women are discriminated against, we must call out poor practice.
~When the treatment of women is not equitable, we must take action.
~When women's contributions are not acknowledged and celebrated, we must create opportunities to do so.
~And we must do this each time, every time.
~To truly include women means openly embracing their diversity of race, age, ability, faith, body image, and how they identify. Worldwide, women must be included in all fields of endeavor.
