Think Ted Talks for Scholars! The Three Minute Thesis Competition (3MT) is an international competition whose goal is improving graduate students' ability to communicate the significance and value of their research to a non-specialist, public audience, in no more than three minutes.

Participants have three minutes to present, using no more than one static slide. Judges will evaluate presentations for comprehension, engagement, and communication.

The First Place winner will receive $750 and will continue on to the regional competition hosted by the Western Association of Graduate Schools during their annual conference in March 2023. Second Place prize will be $500, and Third Place prize will be $250.

This event is open to the public and will be livestreamed. For a program schedule and to find the livestream link, visit UND.edu/gradschool/3MT

This event is hosted by the UND School of Graduate Studies.
