The annual TimeOut Week and Wacipi Powwow is a celebration of Indigenous peoples and culture. The week consists of demonstrations, performances, art, music, dance, dress, presentations and so much more.
A powwow is considered a celebration of life. It is called Wacipi (wah-chee-pee) in the Lakota/Dakota language and Ni-mi-win in Anishinabe (Chippewa/Ojibwa) language. This celebration is a time when people of all ages can gather to sing, dance, renew old friendships, make new friends and share the beauty of life. Open to all!
TimeOut Week: April 14-17, 2020
