Cadet Park at the Armory ROTC's entrance was completed in 1991 and marked the 75th anniversary of Army ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corps) and the 72nd anniversary of the building. The mosaic tile patch symbolizes the Army mission of national defense. The sword signifies courage, the lamp denotes the pursuit of knowledge, and the Greek helmet symbolizes a Warrior Scholar. The motto “Excellence” and “Leadership” express the ultimate responsibility of the Army ROTC program and its moral obligation to the nation.
