Flood of 1997 Memorial Fountain

Location: Restaurant Row Boardwalk

Description: Most homes and businesses suffered great losses in the Flood of 1997. In response to these losses, hundreds of thousands of dollars were donated by Rotary Clubs in the United States and other countries. This money enabled Rotary Clubs in Greater Grand Forks, along with other volunteer groups, to assist the community in its recovery.

The fountain is dedicated to the countless volunteers who made a personal commitment of time and effort and to the strength and fortitude of the people of the region. With their conviction and commitment, the community recovered from the disaster.
