Regarded as one of the best collegiate aviation complexes in the world, the John D. Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences features unmanned aerial vehicle training, an atmospherium, high altitude chamber, flight and air traffi c control simulators and the Regional Weather Information Center.

The GFK airport houses flight operations, including training aircraft.
