Park in the Dark Weekend
Venture into the night during Park in the Dark weekend! All programs are free and you do not have to be camping to attend our programs. Rain outs will be held in the Visitor Center Classroom. Vehicle passes are required for vehicles entering state parks.
Nocturnal Animals
Friday, September 4th
Amphitheater at 8pm
Ever wonder who was wandering around in the dark? We will explore some of the animals that are out at night and some adaptations that make them different than us.
Things that Glow
Saturday, September 5th Visitor Center Classroom at 10am Fungus, fish and fireflies... Oh-My! Join us at this youth-based program to dive into the amazing world of bioluminescence and how animals and plants all over the world glow!
Bats!
Saturday, September 5th
Amphitheater at 8pm
Of all the mammals in the world, only one is capable of flight. Bats! Flit on over for this week’s program as we shed some light on these winged wonders.
Night Hike
Saturday, September 5th
Amphitheater at 9pm
Face your fears of the dark! See how you are adapted to the dark! Please no light up shoes or flashlights!
