Join the University of North Dakota School of Law's Federalist Society on April 22, 2026, at the Chester Fritz Auditorium from 6:30–7:30 p.m. for a lecture by Jason L. Riley, Wall Street Journal columnist and senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute, titled “The Trouble with Social Justice.” Drawing heavily on the writings of economist and social theorist Thomas Sowell, including his 2023 book Social Justice Fallacies, Riley will examine what is—and what is not—driving social inequality today and explore effective ways to address it. The lecture will run approximately 35–45 minutes, followed by a Q&A with the audience.
This event is co‑hosted by the Federalist Society at the UND School of Law and Roger J. Minch, in honor of his parents, Adrian (Bob) Minch and Lois Minch, who supported his education at the UND School of Law in the 1970s. Free Thomas Sowell books for students while supplies last.
Reception beforehand 5:30-6:30 with hors d'oeuvres.
