Under Your Feet Weekend
Dig deep and learn more about what is beneath our feet! All programs are free and you do not have to be camping to attend our programs. Rain dates will be held in the Visitor Center Classroom. Vehicle passes are required for vehicles entering state parks.
Beneath Your Feet
Friday, August 28th
Amphitheater at 8pm
Ever wonder what is beneath your feet? We will explore the different types of critters that live underground as well as the different types of soils we have.
Soil Painting
Saturday, August 29th
Visitor Center Classroom at 10am
Dig in, splash around, and have fun! Explore all the different ways that mud can be used; painting, sculpting and more at this youth- based program!
Geology Hike
Saturday, August 29th
Chalet Lot at 2pm
Jumping geodes! It’s time for this week’s guided hike and this time it’s all about the planet itself. Join us for a chance to learn about the processes that not only shape the park itself, but the entire Red River Valley!
Fantastic Fossils

Amphitheater at 8pm
It’s a bird! It’s a plant! It’s a… rock?! Stomp on down to the TRSP amphitheater and discover what these cool creatures were and how the super stones they left behind were formed!
