Urban Stampede coffeehouse is a former fur bank turned saloon with lots of character. Check out the tin ceiling, intricate wood bar and awesome stone floor. Sip on freshly brewed java, while you peruse the "World's Smallest Art Gallery" and gift shop. Friendly baristas are always willing to whip up your favorite specialty drink or plate up a freshly baked bagel, muffin, cookie or scone.

The Greenway Trail System consists of 2,200 acres lining the Red River and the Red Lake River as they low through Grand Forks and East Grand Forks. This picturesque urban space offers countless recreational, cultural, historical and natural resource opportunities. You can hike, walk, run, rollerblade, bike, bird, canoe, kayak, fish or golf, all in the heart of our two cities. Now fully completed, the Greenway includes an all-season trail system, nature preserves, picnic sites and camping areas. Don’t have any wheels? Want to try your hand at navigating our north-flowing river? Pick up some paddles at Boathouse on the Red! Their knowledgeable staff will supply all that’s needed for one grand ride on the river.

Wrap up the day camping at Red River State Recreation Area

This 1,200-acre recreation area located in the Greenway features 113 campsites, including 85 electric sites with full hookups (sewer and water), along with shower and bathroom facilities. In addition, you'll find trails for walking and biking, areas for picnicking, a river for fishing and boating and a public swimming pool and playground nearby. The urban area set ing also offers visitors access to shopping and dining facilities within walking distance.
